Pricing and Classes

I teach a group class on Friday evenings at Borealis Community Yoga for people healing from cancer. I offer it as an ongoing series to encourage students to commit to 8 week sessions. This has worked well- I am just beginning the second session and I have 5 committed students. Emilie, the studio owner, really supports the class.  

I am considering offering 2 more general group classes at Borealis or another studio.  ???  a good use of my time, where I want to put my energy?

I also partner with Bohdi and Mind, a local not-for-profit that matches yoga teachers with women who are going through breast cancer treatment. The individual sessions are free for the student; they pay teachers $35 a session for 16 sessions. I have worked with 2 women this way. Both have stayed on with me after the 16 sessions and I have offered them a reduced rate of $40 a session. I want to continue to partner with B&M but probably not advertise a sliding scale on my site.  

Private instruction

My preference is to work with people in the Cambridge/Somerville/Arlington/Winchester…area as I usually work with people in their homes. I do not charge for travel time. I bring some props but I ask that people invest in the basics. I also work with some people individually at Boreallis Community Yoga.
